Meg + Allen, the wedding
Saturday I photographed a wonderful outdoor ceremony for a couple here in Lubbock. It was a yard that I wish I had. But then again, hello, I'd probably kill the dang thing since I don't have any idea how to even take care of a yard. But it was gorgeous!
Before the ceremony, Meg was running late. Which of course, according to everyone, happens all the time. So, I helped tie bows to chairs and place beautiful fans on chairs. While I waited. I took my shoes off and went barefoot through the pretty cool grass and just fell in love with the yard. I should move in with the horse and the chickens. I wonder if they'd care? I wonder if there's a place to plug in my laptop? I wonder if they are wireless?
Lots of thoughts are going through my head as I edit these for their sneak peek. I think the happy couple in is Houston, visiting the groom's family before they head out for a honeymoon. I'm not sure.
But I'll let the photos bring up my thoughts again as I take you through their sneak peek. Of course, more images are available at the couple's wedding gallery.
Just go to www.kristinbednarz.com.
Click "client galleries" and then enter the bride's last name.
Within 5 minutes of arriving I had to photograph this dress! LOVE LOVE LOVE
The bride was married at home and got ready at home. She did her makeup in her mom's dressing area. They got ready together.
After photographing the ring, I of course, couldn't let the ring feel left out. I found a tshirt draped over a chair that provided a beautiful backdrop.
The bride chose a feather ensemble for her hair instead of the traditional veil. So fun! And the movement was just awesome!
When you have a bible and flowers to carry down the aisle, where do you put Grandma's locket?
I think Allen was checking his watch because he didn't believe Meg was ready. Remember what I said about running late?
The flower girl's expression was priceless. They are so beyond being impressed at this point! LOL They were sitting waiting for their walk down the aisle.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
A little back story.
Meg was late.
She wanted ALL pictures to be done BEFORE the ceremony.
We simply ran out of time. When guests are arriving early, you kind of have to hide out. So, this quick bridal portrait was grabbed 5 minutes before her walk down the aisle. LOVE LOVE LOVE! She's beaming!!!
Gorgeous flowers!
College Flowers, I believe.
See the bug standing guard at the gate? Yep. Be great, little wedding people.
I think Dad was fighting back something here.
Great overview shot taken by the fabulous, Toni Spray.
THE KISS!!!! Allen, thank you for grabbing her face and pulling her tight! I love kisses like this!!! And I'm not sharing the photo here, but immediately after kissing Meg, his new wife, he grabbed Meg's mom who happened to marry them, and gave her a kiss and big hug as well! What a man!
Some quick portraits before we head to dinner. Planned perfect for the light. Total YUM!
Fun little corner of the yard!
Just a beautiful evening.
Mr. and Mrs.!!!!!!!!
The reception photos can speak for themselves, of course. Just don't miss the crazy kids! They so enjoyed the music and danced and danced and danced.
