Field Dedication, oh, and we beat Levelland
Even though we've already been playing on our super duper nice softball field at Cooper, we hadn't had the chance to have our ribbon cutting. Well, Saturday, the wind was a blowing! But that didn't stop the day and oh, yeah.
We beat Levelland.
Do you know what that means?
#1 in DISTRICT, BABY!!
I was excited to see these people.
I usually only see them when important things are going on.
Meet the Pirates
Awards Ceremonies
Stuff like that.
So when the Cooper Administration and various other VIPS showed up on the new turf field. I grabbed my camera.
Check out that wind!
Mr. Vines was on hand.
His book has been getting a lot of press. I'm hoping to pick it up soon and give it a good read and hopefully get Kelsey and some of her joy in my head. It's always good to have a bit of that in your day.
It looks like people are really enjoying it!
What an inspiring book. Thom Vines is able to express to readers the incredible grief felt by his family after tragically losing his daughter in a horrific accident. Tragedy and Trust tells about the anger, frustration, doubt, loss, and all the feelings a family can have when they know their lives will never be the same. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who has experienced loss, and asks the question "Why?" This book will inspire you to look at the impact God can have on your life when you learn to trust in Him. We may never know the answers to the many questions we will have for God. This book will help us to realize that when we return to the people we love and have lost, those questions will no longer matter.
Looks like I need to order my copy.
I enjoy shooting people and just watching them "be". LOVE this series of our coaches in the next two shots. Don't they look like peeps you wanna hang with?
That is until they try and get you to play a contact sport with them.
I'm then thinking I'd for sure lose.
I think this is Mike Cloud above, cutting the "ribbon". HELLO SOFTBALL FIELD!
The girls were excited to play.
This mug below is Coach Hoover from Slaton.
We see him in JJ's from time to time. He's now the girl's softball coach at Levelland.
LOVE these girls!
Don't they look great?
We had our special choir perform our National Anthem.
Nicely done.
And it's time to throw out the first pitch!
The Salinas Sisters!
Doesn't that sound like a good name for a band?
And now for the action!!!
Kalyn Marie played AWESOME!!! I LOVE watching her play! I really do. She's so dang fast! I miss the dirt clouds though on this new field. It's turf, which is great, but for action shots, I miss the dirt clouds.
My washing machine doesn't.
I'm figuring out this action photography a bit better and enjoying it more.
YEAH. JV pictures.
I'm so glad.
Of course, many parents are asking about Softball Pictures. YES. You can still order Team Photos and action shots. Just use the links and passcodes below.
Until next game...
