This is a little creation of Kalyn's when she was in middle school art class. Mrs. Wilson at Cooper. Remember her folks? Those of you at Cooper? She was an awesome teacher to have when you are thrown from public school into the hell that is our public school system. Just teasing Cooper. You've been awesome to us. It's just when as a mom you worry about your kids. Mrs. Wilson was great to work with us and she was just so sweet.

Anyway, Kalyn created this little LOVE BUG because she loved LOVE BUGS! And not because she watcher Herbie 1000 times, she did. But she loved them because her mom loved them.

I first fell in love with them in Huntington Beach CA. See every summer of my life was spent there visiting my dad. A child of divorce, I saw him in the summer and at Christmas. All the cool kids drove cool cars with the tops cut off and the surf boards in the back. I had my bike or the bus. Fun.

So, we are shopping for cars for Kalyn and we've test driven several. We thought we wanted the KIA Soul. You know, the hamster car? I love that commercial. You can go with this, or you can go with that. Sing it with me! I love how they can be fat in the middle section like me and wiggle and folks love them. Maybe I should wiggle more? LOL

After months of shopping, we found out we love the VW New Beetle, Red with tan interior. She loves the convertible, I love the sunroof one that has no blind spots. So, with that in mind we are searching. I have become good friends with:

Autotrader

Carmax

Kelly Blue Book

Craiglist

Keep your eyes peeled, folks. If you see one, please let me know. We have a budget we are working with. We've saved up some cash and are ready to make deals folks. DEALS.

I smile when I think of her driving her little bug. :)
