I first met Kelsie and Frank at Burklee Hill Vineyards, downtown Lubbock. I had a booth at a wedding expo and we they came to meet me in person. I knew right away I wanted to photograph their wedding. HELLO! They both work in the arts/theatre industry and have such a great connection with each other and those around them. I immediately fell in love with the two of them. I tend to do that, with the good ones, anyway.

Have you heard of Moonlight Musicals? Frank is the operations coordinator there. I think? And Keslie is heavily involved was well. You can image their friends and family that were a part of the day. EVERYONE jumped in and helped decorate and make their vision for their wedding come alive. I got to watch that process that morning.

Their venue, Tin Top Gin had a wedding the day before so they couldn’t get in to decorate until the day of. They rehearsed that morning as well. Everyone just jumped in and decorated and then rehearsed and then broke for lunch and showers and then these two got married!

Just a phenomenal day!

This wedding was on a Sunday. Yep. They changed the date, because of stupid RONA and the venue wasn’t available the night before to decorate OR rehearse. So, everyone came early and did it that morning.

what a trooper! See? Everyone helped decorate that morning. And this was some MASSIVE decorating!

Frank has THE BEST smile! You can’t help but smile with him.

Frank’s mom + dad. Hard to see the resemblance with the masks, but you get the idea.

I’m telling you folks, getting beautiful is HARD.

and emotional.

I’ll never forget Kelsie doing her own makeup at her bridal session. First of all, the amount of brushes and killer pigments this girl had was so impressive all I could do was watch. I really should have been photographing it. So impressive! She’s amazing at it and knows what works for her. She did some kind of lip stain that not only lasted ALL DAY, but it didn’t look dried on and cracky. Do you know what I mean ladies?

and her hair. She did her own hair. This girl is good.

I loved how the guys in the back, the pros at ties and dressing classy over the years, they sat and watched the young ones. too funny!

Coming up that aisle, under those flowers that everyone worked so hard to make happen, LOVE.

I always try to get up close so you can always remember what each other looked like while saying their vows.

and if there’s room, it’s great to get this angle for the kiss!

and then you run like crazy to make sure you don’t miss all the joy!

Kelsie and Frank had games on the lawn, amazing food! (I tired everything) and GREAT music! Yes, Tin Top gets hot and sweaty, but they have these great blowers that keep the air moving so the dancing never stops!
