the one where Lori + David Lee are married at Eberley Brooks in Lubbock, Texas
David Lee + Lori were married at Eberley Brooks Event Center in Lubbock, Texas. Hello! I love this place!!! I had toured it forever ago, I believe, when they were first opening, however, I've never officially photographed a wedding there before. So this was a BIG treat for me! I was super excited!
Lori's Dad, Freddie and my husband worked together for years. However, neither of us put it together at first. Crazy huh? She's a Cooper Grad so we made our connections on our own and I'm so happy we did! This wedding was one of those where when you talk about it later to your friends, the first words out of your mouth are "oh, my gosh! It was so much fun!!!" And it truly was.
The smile that Lori had all day was super contagious and her momma shares it. Even during the mass, there was a moment when everyone was smiling and laughing, including the priest! Just a wonderful joyous day!
Thank you, David Lee and Lori. I loved being a part of your day and I wish you every happiness in the word! Enjoy your sneak peek!
Love Does,
Kristin
Baby toes and cute kids are always a win at weddings! Lori's baby girls were included in a big part of her day.
This image above was taken on the floor at Eberley Brooks. I know, crazy right! But that's what photography is all about...good light. It doesn't matter where the light is, just find it, chase it and shoot it!
I'm loving this idea of the groom wearing a different outfit the rest of his guys. I mean, they've always changed it up a bit. Back in my day they added tails. Maybe a vest or shirt or tie of different color. But LOVE LOVE LOVE David Lee's blue suit! So handsome!
These two on the left? Watch out if you know them. Always up to something.
This is how she started her day...with a big smile on her face, and it's how she ended it. Such a happy day!
Lori never complained or got cranky with her babies. And you mommas out there know how a toddler can be when she's not getting the attention! I think that's why I adore the shot of her little baby hands reaching up in this shot on the right. Lori just rolled right through it.
Gorgeous details! Most of you know, who have worked with me before, about my need for cake. I LOVE wedding cake! It's like my obsession with quest at New Mexican restaurants. I have to try it. Same at weddings. Lately, I've been passing on it due to health reasons and lets' face it, weight. But I could NOT pass up this gem of a cake! It looked amazing!
As usual, we were running late. Lori wanted and her daddy wanted a "First Look", but there simply wasn't time. So, I caught these images on the fly when he was walking back to line up with her for he processional. What do you think? Daddy approves!
As does David Lee. This guy is stead fast in his poker face. You can definitely tell he's a strength in their relationship. Impressed many times over through out the day by him. You can read it deep down in his eyes, the man's in love with this girl!
So much joy and laughter this day! Notice momma is missing from beside Freddy? She grabbed the baby that started the laughter through out church. I love how everyone was super close and just excited to be a part of the day! Lots of love in this room!
Some priests encourage you to get close. SO I DID!
I do love a good sequence! And I love how this priest stepped aside for this shot. Such a great moment in a wedding and something every girls dreams about! BRAVO!
The Happy Parents! See where Lori gets that fabulous smile?
There was still a lot of sunshine in the day left so it was difficult to find a place that would work for some photographs of just the two of them. We had only 30 minutes at the church to photograph the family formals. Once we arrived at the reception, I grabbed the bride and groom for just a few minutes and made this gorgeous photos of just the two of them.
We photographed the bridesmaids inside due to the heat. I mean, come on...rafters, pretty barn, yep. Good decision.
These two kept it nice during the cake cutting. Nothing too messy, but lots of sweet!
After the toasts, it was time to open the dance floor. Lori + David Lee started it off.
I mean, just look at this? Those rafters are gorgeous!!!!
Worn out! Being a flower girl is rough and tough. Being a flower girl at your momma's wedding? Even tougher. This girl crashed shortly after cake. LOL
Lori had a bathroom break after the first dances. I don't think guys know just how difficult wearing these gowns can be. At one point she did NOT want to put it back on, just knowing how much extra weight and added heat this gorgeous gown was adding. But she's a trooper and has some fabulous girls to make the process fun.
All day long I'd catch them having these adorable conversations. Secrets perhaps. I just loved watching them!
We stole a few quick moments again, outside before the sun set. It was a gorgeous evening!
I can't stress this enough to all brides and grooms, ENJOY YOURSELF! When guests see the couple enjoying themselves, it encourages them to enjoy their wedding party as well. Lori and David Lee did not disappoint!
So many moments to love and laugh through! I know you can never relive a wedding day, but I truly believe the photographs you make sure can take you back. May these images make you feel special and loved and beautiful, you two. May you always have love and laughter in your lives!!!
