the one with Meghana, take 2

Baby, it's the first day of spring!  And I had the pleasure of meeting Meghana and her mom + aunt for some gorgeous pictures in all the pretty spring flowers!  Those of you in the Pirate Nation will know her, she's a Lady Pirate!   It's a shame she's graduating, I'd love to keep doing this every season with her!  Megs, good luck at Texas Tech and keep reaching for those stars!  I love how you don't even know how gorgeous you are and always, not matter what, keep throwing your head back and laughing!

PSi started giving these fabulous GRADS a little Q + A to give people more then just a pretty picture.  There's so much to these kids that just gets NOT noticed.  They are part of that generation that has their heads in their phones, or so we think?  Right?  Please take the time to read through this and HELLO!  I'm sure you will be impressed as much as me.  FWIW, I'm not crazy about spiders either.  I got better once I had kids because I didn't want to pass that fear along to them.  Worked for one, didn't for the other.  So, good luck with that Meghana.  Thank you!!!

where do you go to school?

the most kick-butt teacher you've ever had and why you love them so?

My favorite teacher has to be Mr. Heston. He is my pre-cal teacher, and I have him first thing in the morning, and every morning he never fails to make us all laugh (even when "senioritis" is hitting hard, and I don't want to be there). He's so funny, and great at his job! He knows all these different way to get the lesson across to all of us. We all always crack jokes during class or pick on each other, which makes class ten times more fun.

plans after graduation?

After graduation, I plan to attend Texas Tech University. In the future I would like to transfer to Baylor and attend their College of Dentistry.

what is your idea of perfect happiness?

My idea of perfect happiness starts with a big bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough ice-cream!! To me, perfect happiness is when you truly love yourself. It's really hard in high school for girls, or even boys, to love themselves because they are constantly being compared to other people. I've learned to be optimistic during every situation, and since then everything has seemed to fall into place.

when and where were you the happiest?

I've been the happiest during senior year because I have lived in every moment. It sucks knowing that some of my friends will be moving next year and I won't get to see them everyday, but I just try my hardest to enjoy every minute with them!

greatest fear?

My greatest fear is definitely spiders...or anything that crawls.

what is your favorite journey?

I would have to say that basketball has been my favorite journey. The girls on the team have become family to me. I'm beyond thankful for the bonds and memories that we have had. They never fail to make me laugh when I'm having a bad day. It's always fun being around them, we all became extremely close this year which makes it a little harder knowing I won't see them everyday next year.

on what occasion do you lie?

I lie when my teachers ask if I have read the chapter for that week, or if they asked if I have studied.

what or who is the greatest love of your life?

The greatest love of my life is CANES!! I absolutely love eating Canes. It is by far my favorite place to eat.

if you could change one thing about yourself?

If I could change anything, I would change the fact that I procrastinate about EVERYTHING. I hate that I wait till the last minute to do everything.

what is your most treasured possession?

My most treasured possession would have to be my phone. I don't think I could go a whole day without being on my phone.

where would you like to live?

If I could live anywhere it would have to be somewhere in England. Last summer when we visited there, I fell in love. I loved that there were people everywhere. I love the idea of living in a big city. The people there were so nice, and I loved the fashion there. Everyone dressed to sophisticated and they weren't afraid to express themselves, it was amazing.

what do you most value in friends?
I value honesty and loyalty. I love my friends because they are both honest and loyal. I can call them whenever, and I know that they will always be there for me. I am so grateful for the friends that I have. I also love that we are all basically the same person. We all love to eat, watch, and talk about the same things. I would be lost without my girls!
