thoughts about photography

He was waiting in the darkness with his daughter. His first to be married. And I have many from this series that are absolutely precious as they interact together. You can tell, just by observing that this happy family is close. In a single second of exposure, you can read so much in his face and eyes. It's like I caught him mid sigh, as he realized what was about to happen.

He was giving Maggie away.

She was moving away. Several states away.

And even though this was a day of joy, a day of happiness, it's hard all the same, when something changes. His family dynamics were changing and he realized after months of planning, that after today, she would be gone.
