The Catholic Diocese of Lubbock held an ordination mass for 33 deacons, September 8th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church and I was lucky enough to attend. Of course my thighs are KILLING me today, after squatting in front of the 1000's in attendance. The mass lasted close to 3 hours! Can you believe?!?! And it was so beautiful!

There's a part during the ceremony where the deacons lay prone towards the altar while the prayers are being sang. Such a solemn POWERFUL moment!

Congratulations to all the deacons and their families on this blessed occassion!
