the one where the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates play Idalou in Football

Lubbock Cooper Pirates hosted Idalou Wildcats Friday night at home. Kalyn flew in that morning for her birthday celebration so after picking her up from the airport and chatting with her for a while, I headed down to Pirate Nation to photograph some football. It's always a little weird hitting campus with a new crowd of seniors. But just 15 minutes in, it feels like normal. And after 3 years of shooting football on the sidelines, they guys are used to the clicks and I'm getting more used to the smell. It's a win-win, right?

It was weird seeing new faces in old numbers, I must admit! It will take some getting used to, but I'm sure by game 2 or 3, I'll have the names down.

Cooper came out on top! And it was a wonderful night for football!

Can't wait until the next game!
