Any parent of an athlete knows this word. ANXIOUS. It's the hour before the game and we are worried. We want our child to do well. In my case, every game thought is "Lord keep them safe and well, and make this game enjoyable.". I don't ask for a win. Because in good competition, really good competition, who cares? You just want your child to play well and enjoy the game. Regardless of the outcome.

It's difficult to enjoy the game sometimes. I won't lie. And I should probably add me to that list of "ENJOY THE GAME" in my prayers. But for the most part, when there's girls basketball to be played, I'm happy.

The Lady Pirates played in the Caprock Classic this week.
