Laura + Eric, the wedding

They secretly were together for months before it was officially announced. Or at least they thought it was secret. Family knew. They had a hunch, I mean COME ON! You can't hide something like that completely for those that know you to the bone. But they were careful. They wanted to be sure that what they felt was REAL. You know, before they hurt someone other than just themselves. You see, Eric is the childhood BEST FRIEND of Laura's brother. And you just don't play around with stuff like that.

So to be sure, they talked. And spent nights together up all night talking. And it's not like Laura planned this at all. I think she told the paster that she would have never picked Eric in a million years. But that's how love works. It grabs your heart and pulls you in directions you never thought possible. It's scary sometimes, but most of the time it's so full of laughter and love that you just don't care about the scary part. You push through.

I spent the weekend with the Newmans and the Roses.

I spent the weekend laughing and talking and playing with puppies and adorable babies.

I spent the weekend with old friends and new ones, seeing previous couples still together that I photographed before.

I loved my weekend.

Enjoy the sneak peek! Of course, many more from their sneak peek on the wedding gallery website.

Beautiful ring! Laura was telling me about it and it started with "Eric had a friend..." Someone loves her very much, no?

And this cute little fella making her smile so big? That's Grayson. He's only the most adorable toddler in Midland right now.

This wet dog below is Eric and Laura's new puppy. He's just 13 months old and OH so cute!

getting our hair did

Beautiful gown from Pricilla of Boston. HELLO! They sure make very romantic gowns there. But also, HELLO! They have very confusing bustles. I'm sure Betty would agree with me.

That's Betty.

She's the MOB.

She smiled a lot that day.

This is her last baby getting married. I'm thinking she's thinking, HELLO hubby! Lake House to ourselves! No?

I think she's pretty proud of her kiddos and after watching her at the reception Saturday night, I'm pretty sure this is where Laura got her mad moves. Don't get me wrong. Dad can wiggle with the best of them, but he's got nothing on this woman.

Eric showing off a pretty cool boutonniere. Not the the mister needed it one bit. HELLO! Eric is cuuuute! The flower is just an addition.

Okay, I can't remember what it's called.

Alli, help me! What is that class at the Y that you guys take to have the toned bodies?

I mean, just check out Laura's arms. TONED beauties!

She's pumping her fists because the dress fit! It fit and looked A M A Z I N G!!!!

And back to Mr. Rose.

Okay, I swear he looks like a young hot Dennis Hopper? Does anyone else see it?

I watch way too many movies.

This little fella is definitely the cutest BABY in Midland this weekend. Oh, my! I couldn't keep my eyes off his little crooked Elvis smile and adorable faux hawk!Laura, you are STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL, with bursts of joyful laughter! Does Eric know how lucky he his?!?!

Girlfriends always make the day so much fun! The two girls to the right of Laura? BESTIES since Junior High. They do a mean backstreet boys. MEAN I tell you.

This is Alli of Casey and Alli back in 2006? CLICK HEREto view their wedding photos. One of my favorite brides EVER and the momma to that cute toddler you'll see in the slideshow. She's expecting baby #2 and check out how cute she is?!?! Alli has a great sense of style and is such a sweetie, she can totally work wonders on the phone with cranky people. I witnessed first hand, her power to make people do what they need to do just because they love to hear her sweet voice! Poor Grayson! Imagine when he realizes the rest of the world doesn't talk that way. We may speak the same language but this lady does it with a grace and a beauty like none other.

I should take notes.

Thank you, Alli for choosing me to be your wedding photographer many moons ago and for bringing me and Laura together. I had fun this weekend. :)

See, backstreet boys.

Or was it Brittany Spears?

Gosh, I can't remember.

A moment before that walk down the aisle. So much humor between these two.

But just check out the love in those eyes! Last little girl getting married, Pops. Enjoy this one!

They did!

MARRIED!!!!

and very happy.

as in happily ever after.

I'm such a believer in fairy tales!

Okay, I love receptions.

I really do.

I know many photographers time their coverage so they can leave after most of the stuff is done, but I LOVE dancing and most of all, watching others dance.

See?

I'd miss amazing moves , like what this guy was throwing at me.

Or Alli shaking her groove thing!

And sisters enjoying a Cupid Shuffle.

Oh! And check out my 2 grooms in one shot below.

Mr. Jason South and Mr. Casey Zachry. Casey was the baby whisperer at Friday night's rehearsal. And Jason just welcomed his first baby girl!

Okay, so my money is on this girl to catch that bouquet. However, maybe she should put down the drink? Give her better chances you know.

But no! Drink must stay and check out how it's headed right for her!

But nope! She didn't spill the drink and she didn't catch the bouquet! But she was fun to watch!

Of course what reception would be complete without the Dahlia Lama of candles. I think these broke out during the WAILING of Journey, Don't Stop Believing.

Gosh! I love that song!!!!

And so does the groom! And check out Mrs. Newman back there feeling her groove! But my favorite? My favorite?

The slow dances.

The slow dances always make me happy. Check these two love birds out. TOTAL YUM!

Must explain the next two shots.

This is Clay.

Clay started the party.

Clay finished the party.

Clay is chasing me across the dance floor. I kept firing for the insurance claim later.

Guests were dismissed to grab flower petals so the couple could make their exit.

I LOVE this moment!

And this one.

Nothing like a mouthful of flowers to say, Goodbye! HUH?

Happy Wedding Day you two! I'm so thankful I could be there and witness this. You were fabulous!

Be sure and scroll down for the slideshow. Lots of good moments in that little puppy, plus they take quite a bit of time to put together, so you will make me feel good if you take the time to view.
