SHE'S HOME, safe and sound
We've been through the ringer over her in the past week. It feels like we've been slammed with several things, but losing our dog on Sunday just put the icing on the proverbial misery cake for our little family. I was mad, angry, but I got busy and the kids did, too. We made phone calls, put up posters, handed out flyers, texted, facebooked, twittered, PRAYED, knocked on doors, stalked folks, walked the neighborhood to see if we could hear barking. We did everything we knew of to try and find Kanga.
And we cried. A LOT.
So, last night, when a lead given by a neighbor, failed to find my dog, I sat at the computer and just cried some more. At 10:30, home phone rings and it sends a "text" asking if it was too late to bring us our dog. We think we have her.". HOLY SMOKES! I called back, and low and behold, 20 minutes later, I had my dog.
THE BEST FEELING.
The family was driving down Woodrow Road when they saw her chasing cars and decided to throw her in their car. They took her to the vet to see who she belonged to, and since we've never microchipped, well...
Long story short, they saw our ad on Craiglist and called us right away. I'm so very thankful the world has good folks left who aren't too busy to help others.
Thanks you little family that lives on 80th. Thank you.
THE END
