Oh, my. It's started.
It's that crazy time of year where all the hard work should pay off.
DISTRICT!
I woke up this morning and went outside before the sun had completely come up to find the paper. MUST READ. It's not like I didn't know who had won. We were texting parents from Levelland and Shallowater and knew before we left Brownfield. But I wanted to read the write up and hear how the game went.
Must confess, I was surprised. I'm not sure why, Shallowater is a good team. But for some reason in my head, I thought the difference would have been greater. It was close. Very close. Free throws won the game, the paper said. That tell me, Cooper needs to practice some freethrows in the next week or two because that's who we play next.
The winner.
But last night, we played Brownfield. The home of Sheryl Swoops.
You can tell from my opening shot just how much history this place has.
The girls all played well. And as much as I tried to shoot interesting, different photos, I can honestly confess, I didn't want to. A part of me just wanted to watch and be there. So, I did. But I did manage to squeeze off a few to share with you guys.
Of course, as always, more on www.hookapirate.com. Oh, and I posted all the Caprock Tournament Photos there as well, so go and catch up!
