and we lost

There it is! The trophy that should have been ours.

Our girls played so very hard, but after two very tough games, we just couldn't hold our legs to beat Frenship. Oh, how depressed I am. I know these girls can beat them. I know they can! And of course, we get a rematch on November 22nd. I'm looking at the schedule right now and wondering why on earth we would play Frenship on night and then turn around and play Abilene Wylie another? HELLO! Who makes up this stuff?

So, 2nd place. For now. Until November 22nd.

Tournament Team

Brittney Bednarz

Beka Brown

Taylor Parr

MVP was Brooke from Frenship and I didn't see her play much, but HELLO! She played 3 games in this tournament, against teams that were not near as tough as we did and I'm of course completely BIASED for the Lady Pirates, but VOTER FRAUD! I think that's what Johnny called it. Anyone and everyone that paid their $15 to sit through the weekened's games knows that Brittney deserved that award AND they totally missed the best defensive player out there.

My kid.

Okay, stepping off my soap box.

It was cool to see Caitlyn Carman who has graced this blog before as an Eagle. Yep. I typed that right. An Eagle. I'll try and dig up a photo for you. She ROCKED as an Eagle. We've watched her play softball (and hit homeruns, darn it) for a few years now and she's so much dang fun I had to take some photos of her.

Love,

Kristin
