The Torrence Family
I had a very bad afternoon. You know the kind, where you are just plain worn out, tired, EXHAUSTED about an issue you've discussed with your partner (hubby in this case) and you just aren't reaching common ground, so you resort to all the horrible ways of "discussing" something that you know isn't right or warranted and even nice. You know what I'm talking about married ones, I know you do. And you are just TOAST. Through. Had it. Can do nothing more and just want to curl up in a ball and forget about it until you are energized to discuss it again?
Well, that was me about an hour before a session yesterday. And I was torn about going, rescheduling which you know can be so dang hard on everyone. And also, worried that I wouldn't have my head on straight for anything, let alone being able to adjust exposure on the fly.
Yesterday seems so far away after editing (with LR) this sneak peek. Golly! The minute I entered the Torrence Home, everything just cleared and settled and felt right again. So so so much fun!
I've photographed this adorably gorgeous family for several years now. Since Carter and Alexis were itty bitty. And walking into their house and seeing my work on the walls and lovingly (and beautifully displayed) in their home just made me feel, well, wonderful. I won't lie, it made me feel absolutely horrible that I have not done the same in my own home. I mean HELLO! I've lived here a year!!! But I left their home yesterday feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on life again. Or at least part of it.
Here's the sneak peek from yesterday. Great job, Torrence Family!
Almost forgot! Tried out the new underwater housing for my 5d. I used the 16-35 which I will rethink next time. I'm not crazy about how it shows the black frame because that lens is so dang wide. You'll see it on the gallery below. I'll have to try it again soon with maybe the 35 or even the 50. But FUN for sure, let me tell you!
Also, do you know how hard it is to get 4 people underwater to swim and look at the camera at the same time? IMPOSSIBLE. You can see my joy filled efforts below. I will say this, Alexis? A total natural under that water. AMAZED!
OH, and in case you were wondering about the THING that started the "bad afternoon", things are better today. Somehow they always are, huh?
