the one with Emily + Will, a wedding in Abilene

Beautiful day for a wedding, no? AMAZING blue skies welcomed the wedding day of Emily and Will. It was gorgeous! And I have so many photos to share with you. I spent the weekend in Abilene sharing in the celebration of family and friends.  It was heavy on the laughs and kisses and great times!

I have to give a "shout out" to Jennifer Nieland who came to my rescue when one of my camera bodies failed on me Friday. My cameras get plenty of wear and tear in the wedding season, which is why they visit Canon USA at least once every 6 months. Well, one decided on Friday that it needed a break. It blew the shutters. And my new body that I ordered 2 weeks ago has been on back order. Sooooo....what to do? I have to have 2 camera bodies! Yes. You can shoot a wedding with one, but you'd be pretty stupid too. What if something goes wrong? What if my next body decides to go on break?

Lubbock (Armadillo Camera) was 2 1/2 hours away as was Ft. Worth (Arlington Camera). And the local Best Buy?  Nothing but P+S's baby!  So, I logged into DWF.

Digital Wedding Forum to the rescue! I've been a member for years and the photogs on that board are KNOWN for coming to the rescue. I did a quick search, found Jennifer and PM'd her. She replied and loaned me her camera for the day! Thank you, Jennifer!  I hope the baby shower went great! It's important to have back up at weddings and even though I could have winged it with one body for the day, you always have to plan for the worse. She really helped me out and put my mind at ease.

On to the sneak peek!

Emily, checking out the sneak peek from the rehearsal on the curb at the BM Luncheon. Too cute! This is what father of the brides do on the wedding day after a morning of golf. Yep. RELAXING. I now know he was getting ready for those dancing shoes! This dad can boogie!
