VB Cooper vs Trinity
Anyone that has talked to me about volleyball knows that I'm NOT a big fan of it. Let me rephrase that. I'm not a big fan of photographing it. I grew up summers in sunny CA and we played on the beach. Usually tasty beverages and dark tans were involved, but girls VB is totally different and yes, it is a sport, don't get me wrong. But my heart belongs to basketball.
That said, watching the teams last night at Trinity was quite a treat. Jumps, dives, hits, spikes, cheers, yells, EVERYTHING was fun. And despite the JV losing, I enjoyed watching Summer Zoe play and the varsity players. Here's a few of my favs. JV girls? I'll post yours in a bit.
Also, last year we had a special gallery on my website for all Cooper sports photos. I haven't completely decided how I'm going to roll this year, but because of space concerns, I may just post each event for just a few days. I realize that's harder on moms and dads, but I can't keep things up for a YEAR. I just can't.
I'll post the gallery link in just a bit.
In the mean time, ENJOY!
This is really the FIRST game I got to photograph Miss Summer. (on the bottom left) She's improving so much! She plays great and yes, she made a couple of mistakes, but for the most part, IMPRESSED her mom like CRAZY! If I could watch her every game, I may change my mind about photographing this sport.
Then again, if I could buy a REAL sports camera, I'm sure I'd love this game even more! LOL
Miss Hanna represented her team well last night! It's so much fun to sit ACROSS from our stands and watch the parents as their kids play. Maybe someday I'll share a few of those photos. LOL
Go Lauren! Go Lauren!
Now on to the VARSITY.
Okay, Mr. and Mrs. Ruble. I'm not sure what you are feeding these girls on, but keep doing it! Talk about some vertical jumping. Oh, yeah, baby!
Miss Sami and her mom! This is the first year the Summer has not cheered and I'm a bit nostalgic at thinking about Meet the Pirates tonight and NOT getting to watch Miss Zoe. BUT, I will get to watch this cutie! She's another of my favs!!!
Okay, so I gave Kalyn Marie my 2nd body (camera) to photograph the kids. LOVE LOVE LOVE what she got! And HELLO, Mrs. Ferris? (cheerleading sponsor) Sign these boys UP! RIGHT NOW!
McLane, you are a BEAST of a cheerleader! Keep up the hard work! I'm sure you can make the squad after Bene graduates!
Way to go Lady Pirates! By far they dominated the VB court at Trininty! It was great to watch, and yes, I guess to photograph.
Until next time!
