Meagan + Blake, the wedding
Saturday was fun.
I got to photograph a Slaton couple and see old friends and just enjoy being in my hometown. Meagan and Blake had a family filled day at her home church and just enjoyed visiting with family and friends over some mean fajitas.
Thanks you two, and I hope you are having a wonderful time in San Antonio!
I started the day at the bride's home. Where there's a bride, there's this. LOL
Meagan doesn't require much. She's got fantastic bone structure and skin! She kept telling me her hair is thin and horrible, um...don't agree.
This is Baylor. Too cute! He's the ring bearer for the day and was definitely excited to get those tux pants on. The boy can move!Super cute!BLING! Here's a great view of the ceremony site before the big moment. As mentioned before, this is the bride's home church. Her dad is the pastor here.Beautiful cake!Beautiful shoes! I'm such a sucker for both.I know Trish will hate this, but it was such a fun moment. She was steaming the veil and the spurts kept bursting out and cracking us up. Job got done!
Love the activity in this one. For a nursery, this was a pretty swank place. Meagan just rolled with it.Groom'sBride'sLoved the light coming down the hall! When you take pre-formals, it's kinda nice to have a different look than just the ceremony site. I was taking photos of Meagan and her mom and grabbed this one 0n the way.
I know I said it before, but CUTE!
This is Lindsay, the groom's sister and her little girl, Raeley was the flowergirl. She wasn't quite ready to go down the aisle by herself, so Lindsay grabbed her and went down with her. She even threw out rose petals! Too cute! You did a fabulous job, Lindsay! LOL
Dad just could't do it. He couldn't look up. He sure could move fast though! And Meagan had to remind him to walk slow. I kept waiting to meet those eyes, and he just couldn't do it. I'm pretty sure, this was a defense mechanism. You know, don't look, don't cry. Yep. Convinced.Blake sure looked happy!Funny moment by the pastor that married them. He was making reference to some foot wear worn by the groom.
They featured a slideshow of childhood photos of each of them and showed it during the wedding. You know me and slideshows! I love 'em! I snapped this and headed to the back to watch with the guests. His vows.Her's.
They did it!While we waited for guests to clear out the ceremony site so we could photograph formals, I followed the couple around the church and we photographed just the two of them. I LOVE that time! The smiles are easy and the energy is exciting! Not to mention, they've just said their vows and they are HAPPY.
Cake time! Look at both of them just thinking about it. Yep. Really thinking about it.Okay, so she didn't walk down the aisle by herself, and she wouldn't slow down for even a second before the ceremony for me to photograph her, but she loses a show playing outside and Dad stalls putting it on, and I get these. LOVE THEM!
