Katie + Kevin, a wedding in San Angelo, Texas
Katie and Kevin were married over the weekend at First Baptist Church in San Angelo, Texas. Nothing buy cowboys and beer and pretty girls! My kind of wedding! Yes, it was hot. We expected it though. And despite me waking up Sunday morning like I had been the one drinking all night, I loved every minute of it! I thought I was drinking enough water all day, but by the way my head felt the next morning, nope. However, now that I'm writing this, I was dipping into the ice cooler that had bottle of Sangria in it. Wonder if my cooler water was a bit laced? LOL Oh, my!
I can't do this wedding justice in my words. There's no way. So many laughs, so many great moments. I had a hard time narrowing it down to these 50+ images or so. Of course, as always I'll post more on their wedding gallery.
It is password protected. If you know their last names, smush them together, all lower case, bride's first.
On to the pictures! These are just a few of my favorites!
Crawfish baby! The guys spent the day at the groom's house eating crawfish, picking tunes and enjoying their time. Several puppies were around playing in a kiddie pool, but mostly, it was tunes. Kevin couldn't get enough of the guitar that Katie gave him. Talk about the PERFECT gift for your wedding day! He was in love and I think even slept with it the night before.
Gus the dog, and all the guys. I sure think the dog is cuter. SHHHHH....teasing guys, but I seriously could have taken this puppy home with me. He was that good.
Below is Jarrott, who I get to hang out with again when she gets married this August!
This is the way Katie looked the entire day! Smiles galore! And really enjoyed her time with the girls.
Her beautiful gown!
Below is Pace the ring bearer and a view of Katie's gorgeous bouquet.
We were waiting for ONE groomsmen. Aren't we always? But they had allowed for plenty of time and everything worked out, just fine.
the handsome groom. He smacked on gum the ENTIRE time and in fact, I thought we were going to have him take his vows with gum!
I love this image of Katie getting dressed! Girl has great taste in shoes. :0
Did I mention the church? Yep. I'm sure I did in the rehearsal blog, but as pretty as the altar view was, I knew we would be photographing it tons during the ceremony and formals, so HELLO! pretty black pews = perfect backdrop for the maids. The shot below, left of Katie? She's GORGEOUS! And the shot to the right is of the atrium. Great to have when it's 100+ degrees outdoors! I think, Becky the church coordinator said, don't take 'em outside, they will melt. Well, Becky, we saved the melting for the reception, didn't we? LOL Becky also turned me on to that New York Cheesecake that Sandy, the groom's mom whipped up so well. YUM!
More pretty girls and pretty location. The one on the left below is down a hallway in the back. Always important to sneak around these big buildings and find the cool niches. This place had plenty!
I LOVE the shot below of Katie's grandma making her entrance! So cool and at ease. Of course I now know where the tear faucet originates. This family must own stock in water proof mascara. And Pace, the handsome young fella below? Dude, they will be CHASING you in a few short years. You will hate it at first, all the girls chasing you, but get used to it buddy. You are adorable.
After last night's giving of the guitar, and witnessing Kevin's reaction, I knew to keep my lens on him for the majority of Katie's walk down the aisle. They opted to not see each other before the ceremony, and I'm cool with that. When the doors at the back of church opened, and that music started, Kevin did very well to compose himself in front of 300+ guests, YEP, 300+!!! And I'm sure anyone standing next to him had to barely poke and he would have fallen to the ground, but you did good, Kevin. Very good, indeed.
I LOVE this shot below of Katie's dad giving her away! You can see it on his face. He loves his girl!
BEAMING!!!!
Okay, I'm still not used to how wordpress posts photos, but I'm learning! Then again, it's totally my fault with the vertical placement, I'm sure, but check out Kevin below after the kiss. Yeah, baby! That's a wedding band! Way cool reaction!
And Katie's just a few seconds after being pronounced!
We spent a few minutes down an alley between ceremony and reception and got some good yummy ally light. And check out the backdrop! San Angelo, you did me proud. Thank you!!!
The reception was held at The Stables by Fort Concho and the cakes, despite the heat, turned out way AWESOME! The guitar groom's cake even had real strings.
Fun moment during the cake cutting. :)
You know you are well loved when the toasters feature expressions like these! Well done, you two!!!
And what wedding reception is complete without a GROOM solo on guitar!!! I LOVED this!
Guests sang the Texas A&M fight song, and of course guns were up for TT as well!
Some wonderful moments of the bride and groom. Love these!!!!!
Much happiness to the bride and groom and everyone that came out and celebrated in the HEAT! So much fun!!! Let's do it again, real soon, OK?
