the one with Volleyball at Shallowater

This is Kaitlyn Martinez, I think that's her name. It's hard to remember and I didn't blog very well back in the day. (slapping myself for that one) But we've been watching her play ball of some sort since Summer Zoe was just a baby. We first met her on the Shockers Soccer Team. Kaitlyn's dad coached the team and coached them well. We love watching these athletes grow up and become beautiful young ladies!

Our Lady Pirates won over in Shallowater last night and I was pretty darned pumped at getting to attend and take photos. Everyone has improved so much since the last time I got to photograph them. The girls constantly impress me and always give me something good to photograph.

Of course you can always view more photos on the Cooper Pirates Gallery.

  • go to www.kristinbednarz.com
  • click client galleries
  • type in "pirates" for the password
  • purchase tons of images so Kristin can go on vacation!

I had to smile after I made this shot below.

Check out those game faces! I wonder what's going through their heads as they wait for their match?

Here's a few possibilities...

  • I wonder if we will get fed tonight?
  • Are my volleyball shorts too short?
  • Does Shallwater have any cute guys?
  • These beats ROCK.
  • Gum, I need gum.

Oh, Sydni will probably KILL me for this, but the girl's are quite aware I'm there photographing them, and sometimes, they simply get tickled. Don't worry, this did not effect her game playing capabilities what so ever. I don't even think Shallowater returned her serve after this, but I love it to pieces and had to share it with you.

I love you Sydni!

Claire celebrates AWESOME! Maybe it's because she is so dang tall? Maybe it's because she has happy hair? But I love keeping my lens on her for the celebration after the point. She's fun to photograph!

Miss Wilson!!!! Dang girl! Talk about a vertical jump! Summer lives in my neighborhood and if I had a tree and a kitten, she'd be the one I would call to help me get him out. One jump and that kitty is freed.

Susan Hart and Peyton Hurst got a vertical game as well. I'm thinking Coach Pesterfield feeds them wheaties. No?

Okay, you know how everyone does those awkward facebook status posts? I have one.

You know how it feels after your teammate hits an awesome kill in a major district volleyball game and you just want to jump and shout? Well, it is SOOOOOO not awkward!

I love this series!!!

Way to go Lady Pirates! They play next at home Saturday against Estacado. Should be a great game!

Love,

Kristin | Lady Pirate Fan
