documentary wedding photographer

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved the still image and have photographed over 350 weddings. I have photographed small, intimate affairs to big Catholic weddings in this nation I love.

Being a full-time, wedding photographer - not a side job - means that you will get 100% of my time, committed to doing my best work at making beautiful images that will live forever.

A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.
— Annie Leibovitz

What is a “documentary photographer”?

A documentary photographer documents your wedding day and tells your story through a visual interpretation of the day. With me? Photographs are still images. The majority of your photographs will be candid in nature, REAL MOMENTS that are not contrived or “set up” to say. The moments will be emotional and instantly take you back to that moment in time, that day and you will FEEL the moments, your wedding day, all over again.

  • OF COURSE we will take some time during the day to make a few formal images. You know the ones, stand by the bride and groom and smile. And those images are so important! Not just for you now, but more for your children and their children, years from now. These images are IMPORTANT. And I gladly take them.

  • At every wedding, there are those moments that you just can’t plan, and I think these need to be documented just the same. So often they are the best and brightest, funniest, most suprising parts. The images you cherish and love forever.

  • This, friends, is what I LOVE and LIVE FOR. It’s what keeps me going when I’ve been on my feet all day, those precious, once-in-a-lifetime-experience-type of moments where you are fully in your feelings. I want to help you return to that moment again and again.

Must love dogs. I do!

We should probably talk about it. It all begins with a conversation. On the phone or FaceTime, in person at your planned venue, maybe at a park where we can take a walk? Steps are important these days. I want to hear about your plans and see if I can be a part of your celebration.
