the one with Gehrig, TT GRAD 2024
One of the perks of being a photographer is meeting new people and spending time with them. I met Gehrig tonight for his GRAD session and we spent a good amount of time waiting in line at the TT Seal for our turn to make some photographs and discussed everything from movies, to food in Lubbock and fun things about his family. Great guy who patiently waited and then killed it when it was our turn.
Thank you, Gehrig for trusting me with your photographs and best of luck this weekend at your “olympic competition”.

the one with a GRAD session on campus
It’s not everyday you get to graduate with your BIG sister. Yep. Brynn and Ashlyn are walking the stage and collecting diplomas this spring! We had to document the occasion with photos of course! I’ve been photographing these girls FOR YEARS! They are some of my Favorite Bednarz Girls!

the one with Kade, TT GRAD 2024
What a difference a degree makes, right?
Kade is a Cooper boy and I photographed him and his basketball time at LCHS. I watched him grow up and was so happy when his mom called and asked me to photograph his portrait to celebrate his college graduation. Gosh! Such a great kid/adult!
CLICK HERE FOR HIS 2020 GRAD PICS
The line at the Texas Tech seal (very popular) was long and the hemlines were incredibly short, 😲 but Kade’s mom held our space in line as we hit a few key places on campus and knocked his grad session out of the park!
Super proud of you, Kade, for finishing with a degree (18 hours this semester folks!) and adopoting a puppy to boot! Keep scrolling to see his sweet baby puppy Lucy. And shout out to his girlfriend Catherine and his family, Leslie and Brit. It was so lovely spending some time with you all! I so enjoyed today.

The one with Watson, a Sundown 2024 GRAD
When you are the baby of the family, everyone loves you. Right? Well, Watson’s sisters and sister-in-law helped with the outfits for this graduate and I was definitely impressed with how they dressed this fella. PLUS, HE BROUGHT HIS GUITAR and played on Broadway. Who does that? Only the cool kids, I’ve been told. And those that are good.
Thank you, Watson! I had such a good time tonight photographing you! Oh, and FYI, the chin is all-natural, no mewing involved.
the one with Vincent, GRAD 2024
I’ve watched this one grow up folks! From the time he was born, we’ve attended mass together. Up until recently that is and now his Daddy Deacon is at Wilson and I’m still at St. Joseph. But regardless, it’s been so much fun watching his personality emerge and his character develop. Such a great kid! And I hesitate to call any senior graduate a KID because they grow up so fast these days. Don’t they?
He rolled up to his Grad Session in chill clothes with his girlfriend in tow, not even worried about his appearance or the clothing, really. He was simply there to exist and have a good time. All the while, politeness and manners were present to me of course. He did manage to complete dress, curbside in front of the FUMC Activity Center. Not modest one bit, I guess? Totally cracked me up!
It was such a pleasure spending some time with him and even better time getting to see his momma, April.
BEST WISHES VINCENT! And if mom ever checks her email, I sent you a Q+A that I could post here on my blog. Tell her to check her email, OK?

the one where Morgan gets her GRAD ON!
I think I’ve said this before, but FALL is the BEST time to take photographs. There’s something about the light that is crisp and sharp and different. It dwells a bit in the evening and is simply gorgeous.
Meet, Morgan.
She’s a senior this year and absolutely STUNNING. I couldn’t get enough of photographing her and she renewed my spirit in what I do and LOVE to do. She truly did!
Many of you know, I’m sharing my home with my Mom. There’s been so many changes in the last year in my life. SO much procsessing I need to do and share, but I also feel trapped in between things. I’m not young anymore. In my head I am, but not really. So, here I am, on my blog for the first time in weeks sharing gorgeous images of a girl that’s staring her life really, as an adult anyway.
I think about all he “young and dumb” stuff I pulled straight out of high school. I mean, our 20’s, 18 and ups, are supposed to be the time of our life where we learn things. We are young and dumb and eventually, with enough time passing, we “know better do better”. Right?
She doesn’t get that luxury, Morgan doesn’t. Or really anyone that is graduating doesn’t. It’s sucks really. She has the entire world of social media checking every move out and judging everything from pictures. From images and vides without knowing her true heart or the true HER, the “she” that she is becoming. The screw ups? That is how you learn. That is how you grow and learn and shape your identity into what you want, what you love and who you want to be.
I wish that for Morgan. And for all the 2024 GRADS. No judgement from me, seriously. So many screw ups that I’m surprised I’m still alive! Really…
And soon, very soon. I’ll pour out more here on my blog. And maybe even share a few of those fun stories. LOL
Love does,
Kristin

the one with Macy, a LHS GRAD 2023
Last week I was in California and because of delayed planes and work load, took a week off of shooting. So, when I got back, I hit the ground running. Monday was a Lubbock High Grad that I had worked with before in a magazine shoot. Nope she’s not a super model, but she could be! Just a graceful human that is simply lovely to work with. Here’s a quick sneak peek of our time together.

My goal is to create memories from the REAL you in love. In love with each other. In love with your life, your family, your friends. I am a Lubbock wedding photographer and I love documenting life + love for kick ass humans. And yes, I travel. I’ve photographed weddings in Jamaica and all over the USA! If you are getting married in Kentucky or California, let me know. My family lives in those states and I’d love an excuse to stay with them for a while.
the one with Macy, Shallowater 2023 GRAD
Meet Macy. I met her on Tuesday a the Lubbock County Fair. She originally had planned for a bright yellow number and instead? I found her in this kick-ass outfit! HOW COOL IS SHE? I loved the flare of the pants and the texture of the cute top! We hung out for a while and everyone fell in LOVE with her! It was like she was royalty walking around! If I had a $1 for every time someone complimented her on that outfit…WOW!
Enjoy the sneak peek!

the one with Heather and her killer kicks, SENIOR 2023
Did you know it’s raining in Lubbock County? HELLO! We managed to shoot a session in downtown Lubbock, and a KILLER session at that, but hello! It rained! And it smelled so dang good! This is Heather. She likes shoes and I like to photograph Heather in her shoes. She’s staring her senior year and was super smart to get her GRAD photos done early. This way she can use them for college applications, yearbook ads, anything and everything. I highly recommend several of these for a billboard, Heather.

the one with Rose at Cotton Court Hotel in Lubbock, Texas
Rose, Trinity Graduate, 2021 has been in front of my camera before. I photographed her at the start of her educational career, back when she was barely 3 years old. We photographed her GRAD SESSION this year at Cotton Court Hotel in downtown Lubbock.
Meet Rose. She’s graduating this year from Trinity High School and this is NOT the first time I’ve had the chance to photograph her before. Check out the cute adorable photograph below. HELLO! The curls haven’t changed much, nor have those eyelashes! I photographed her at Melanie Park Preschool back when her school years first started. How cool is that? This time around, we went to the new, FABULOUS Cotton Court Hotel in Lubbock. When I met her at her house and I started at her fabulous closet, I knew right away that her vibe would work at that hotel! She makes that place look SO GOOD!
Keep scrolling for more fabulous photos from out time together.

the one with Hudson in the killer, blue velvet tux
GRAD SESSIONS are the bomb! They are like the prefect break in my week when my weekends revolve around weddings. I especially love them when I know the family. In this case, a Slaton boy who loves basketball and a nice tux.
BRAVO, Hudson! BRAVO!

the one with GRAD SESSION info
GET YOUR GRAD ON!!!
I’ve had a lot of people reaching out and asking if I still take photographs of seniors. Heck yes, I do! You can view my grad info by clicking the button below.
Of course, weddings are my absolute favorite, but they only take place on weekends, at least most of them do and that leaves me loads of time to photograph all the kick-butt young adults that are excited about life and just plain TAKING ON THE WORLD!
the one with sweet Rielly, a Monterey GRAD
Blog readers? Here’s a redhead!!!! You know I’m having a great day when I get to photograph a GINGER!!! I LOVE red hair! Combine this gorgeous head of hair with that creamy, skin with the perfect amount of freckles and it was all I could do to not take every photo of Rielly close-up. She has that sweet, All American girl look going that is just absolutely precious in front of the camera!
What a Monday!
Love Does,
Kristin
PS. I always encourage all graduates to take the time to include their families in a few photos. I was so happy that Rielly’s family did!

the one with the Craig kids that are graduating (and a friend...)
Your grad session doesn’t have to mean, POSE ALONE. Hello! When you have 4 siblings, you bring one along for fun.
Many of my blog readers will recognize these two. Emmy + Chandler Craig. One is graduating from Texas Tech and the other? Idalou Wildcats BABY! I’ve been photographing this family through their years of growing up and it’s been such a pleasure to watch them become such fun, and GORGEOUS human beings! BRAVO to mom + dad!!! Good genes and good kids.
Chandler is such a hottie! Can I say that? I mean, the scruff, the hair…
And Emmy is a total goofball wrapped up in a supermodel’s body. I mean legs for days.
Emmy brought along a friend for support and a few photos. Jayci is a senior at Idalou as well. How cute are thee two? YES. Grad sessions do not have to take place alone. Bring along a friend or two and get everyone in on the fun! Enjoy the sneak peek!

the one with Carli's GRAD session
Some one totally SLAYED her GRAD SESSION! I normally NEVER photograph on a Sunday if I can help it. It was my “oath to. myself” at the beginning of my work year. But for certain folks, I always make an exception. Carli was that exception.
spunky, fun and she brought her dog and boyfriend!
BRAVO!
If you are thinking now’s the time for your GRAD SESSION, contact me and let’s get your date scheduled!

the one with Vance, a senior at LCHS
“You are a man, not just a man; don't be diminished. Live up to your grand potential.”
― Richelle E. Goodrich
Remember my trip down he river back in September? Vance was along with our big group and I swear, I did not recognize him. Of course I wouldn’t. The last time I photographed him he was only a few days old. What a sweetie! We chased the light and the cotton to make these photos together. I think all boys should have trucks at some age in their life and be photographed with them.

Kristin
